I don’t know about you, but does anyone else feel like the energy is moving at the speed of light? For me, it conjures images of being tethered to a fast moving horse and cart, rope tied tightly around my wrists, half stumbling, half running behind it for fear of falling and being dragged hands first, on my stomach, up a rough gravel road. All I want to do is stop and rest for a while, but the horse and cart keep moving forward. If you’re feeling it, then know that you’re not alone – I’m right there with you. That being said, let’s have a sticky beak at what the cards say is in store for us over the month of April.
The Queen of Wands
For me, this card gives of feelings of joy and radiance. The Queen of Wands is confidently grounded in her power. She sits with her shadows and fills the world with her light. The main message the Queen of Wands card conveys – and I feel like it’s particularly relevant – do not be afraid to be the centre of attention, stop making yourself small in order to make those around you feel more comfortable. This hits home for me, and I know that it will for some of you as well. How often do we shrink ourselves down, just to make someone else feel more comfortable? How often do we bite our tongue, or push down our emotions because we fear we are “too much” for those around us? It’s time for that to stop. The Queen of Wands card is all about bold expression, confidence, passion, determination and creativity. She’s calling for us to unleash our creativity, stop holding ourselves back for fear of making other people feel uncomfortable. There is something that you have to say, something within you so powerful that it will also help others. Step into that and unleash your power.
2 of Cups (reversed)
For me, the 2 of Cups card represents deep and loving connection with like-hearted individuals. It may mean the development of a deep, loving relationship, but it can also signify new friendships interwoven and connected by similar paths. Today, this card made itself known in reverse – are you holding yourself back? Do you have emotional blocks that prevent you from fully opening up to the bright and wonderful potential of deep connections? Or perhaps there you had a deep connection with a friend or loved one, and you now feel the strands unravelling? No matter what the case is, let me remind you, you are safe and you are loved and held in ways that are beyond comprehension. I feel like the 2 of Cups in this instance reminds us to come back to the heart space, to be open to love and friendship. And, if you are experiencing the unravelling of a connection, let yourself grieve, but do not close your heart down. Connections unravel and fall apart, to make room for something deeper and more wonderful. It’s only a matter of time, but you have to stay open to receiving it.
9 of Pentacles
At the beginning of the year, I wrote a post about manifesting your 2025 – the appearance of the 9 of Pentacles is a sign that you are close to achieving one of your goals, hopes and dreams for this year. You have worked hard, and taken steps towards what you want, and now it’s all about to fall into place for you. This shift will come with a sense of personal achievement, success and inner peace. However, the 9 of Pentacles reminds us of the importance of taking some time to stop, sit back and process how far you’ve come. Then celebrate! The path to achieving your goal and dream – whatever it may be – hasn’t been easy, and for some, it’s required a complete shedding of the old to make room for the new. Sit in that! Process the feelings and when you’re ready, step into this brand new chapter in your life.
6 of Cups
I don’t normally draw four cards for our monthly reading, but the 6 of Cups fell from the deck and demanded my attention. Perhaps because it brought about all the feels for me pertaining to my relationship and connection with my beautiful soul dog, Luna. The appearance and meaning behind the 6 of Cups brought tears to my eyes. Its message for us is to make peace with the past. You may be experiencing flash backs or memories from the past that require your attention – if you are, I’m right there with you. You are not alone in this. The key in making peace with those moments, is to find forgiveness – forgiveness for yourself. Accept that you are human and make peace with your decisions from the past. The 6 of Cups reminds us to reconnect with all versions of ourselves, because that’s where we find the growth, that’s where we can truly see how far we’ve come. The decisions you’ve made in the past, even the ones that have caused the most pain, are the ones with the greatest lessons. I feel as if the appearance of man’s best friend in the 6 of Cups reminds us of the importance of loving and forgiving ourselves unconditionally.
The Algiz Rune
I have felt drawn to rune casting for a while now, and so, I brought myself a set and have spent a little bit of time playing. Today, I thought I would try casting a rune for the Collective.
The Algiz rune is the rune of protection, sanctuary, trust, friendship and faith in and mystical communication with the divine. Algiz represents the energy link between human consciousness and Universal energy. It surfaces to remind you that you are protected and safeguarded while you work towards manifesting your dreams, hopes and goals. While you are on this path, you are invited to open up the connection between yourself and your intuition. Let your Spirit guides and the energy of the Universe show you the way.
In drawing it all together, April is a month of healing. The first step is to learn to forgive yourself for decisions you’ve made in the past. Remember your humanness and make peace with your decisions from the past, because even the painful ones have contributed to where you are today. Work across your timeline – listen to what your inner child needs, hear the wisdom of your future self and lean into the lesson from man’s best friend – show yourself the same unconditional self-love, acceptance and forgiveness. Without the decisions from your past, you will not be in the position you are today – so very close to achieving something you hoped and dreamed about for 2025.
I remind you of the importance of staying open to receiving love and connection. With the combination of the 2 of Cups and the Algiz Rune, this could allude to opening yourself up to the love, support and connection from your Guides and the Universe. They have your back and you have their protection and support as you step into your power. Delve into your creativity and passion, and embrace self-expression. In order to fully step into your power, you need to stop making yourself small to help other people feel more comfortable. Stop holding yourself back because you fear being “too much” for the people around you.
Shine your light!
